2008 UK User Conference
Friday 8th & Saturday 9th February 2008

We extend a warm invitation for you and your practice team to join us for the third RxWorks UK User Conference in early February 2008. The conference will be at the Hilton, Newbury Centre, a five minute taxi trip from Newbury station. We have assembled a really informative agenda over the two days, which we hope will stimulate you to use more of the features and functionality of RxWorks.

The Conference will be held over two days. Day One is given over to a programme of presentations designed to help you “Improve Practice Performance and Profits” and rounded off with an informal dinner. I am pleased to say that Alan Robinson has again agreed to speak. We have also secured a presentation by Phil Swan, a senior partner with accountants Hazlewoods which should be very informative and one not to miss!
Day Two is devoted to a series of concurrent training sessions designed to appeal to as many members of your team as possible – from the inexperienced new member of staff to more advanced users. Many of the core functions in RxWorks are covered, however if there is a particular subject you would like added to the agenda please let me know and if we get similar requests we will add it to the agenda. Alternatively we have an Open Session during the morning which is designed to give you the opportunity to raise a specific topic or feature and discuss with both RxWorks staff and fellow RxWorks users. These sessions have proved to be very successful in the past.
Most members of the UK RxWorks team will be in attendance over the two days and we will be joined by RxWorks training staff Rohan Gladman and Rob Thomas as well as our CEO, Phil Scanlan. The conference is also a good opportunity for networking with colleagues in the pleasant surroundings of the Hilton in Newbury, which includes swimming pool, sauna etc.
Here is a brief synopsis of the two days:
Day One – Improving Practice Performance & Profits
This is your opportunity to learn about our exciting product development plans and see the latest enhancements to RxWorks, all aimed at improving productivity and performance.
Alan Robinson of The Virtual Veterinary Company, isa leading management consultant working with veterinary practices. We are certain you’ll find his presentation on optimising the consultation and communicating with the client very stimulating. Alan will link his talk to features within RxWorks.
We are very pleased that Phil Swan, senior partner with leading veterinary accountants Hazlewoods, has agreed to speak. Phil’s presentation looks at your pricing strategies, capturing income, key performance indicators, bonus and remuneration strategies. His talk promises to be very informative and you will have the opportunity of asking questions at the end of it.
Day Two - Training For Every Member Of Your Team
It’s our clear experience that RxWorks training is most effective when as many members of the practice team as possible are involved. So, the concurrent training seminars on Day Two are designed for both newer users who want to increase their skills as well as experienced users wanting to maximise the use they are making of RxWorks. Rohan Gladman and Rob Thomas will be conducting most of these sessions along with some members of the UK team.
