RxWorks Software Pricing Strategy
Software companies are second only to restaurants in their failure rate. Two significant factors to consider when choosing a long-term partner are:
- Product longevity.
- A good track record of building global presence.
RxWorks Licensing
We operate on an annual all-inclusive fee basis that includes both licensing and support charges. Most other vendors charge a large up-front fee, which effectively locks you in. We do not.
It’s worthwhile explaining the logic behind this approach.
The reason we use this fee model is that the relationship with our clients is ongoing and evolving. Our clients use more and more Information Technology in their practice as they gain experience.
We consider that the “up-front” license fee does not encourage a software vendor to continue development.
Many software companies effectively “milk the franchise” and do not invest in new functionality. A good partner will continue to enhance their software and utilize new technologies that bring value to your practice. RxWorks continues its development so that our clients see the value of annual fees.
Meeting the Needs of Our Clients
Our approach results in dynamic software that is sensitive to the needs of our clients. This minimizes the chances of your practice “outgrowing” RxWorks. It avoids the problems of obsolescence, lack of functionality and forced system change. This can be a recurring, traumatic and expensive event in many practices.
A 24/7 RxWorks Support Team
For the same reasons we include support fees in our annual fees. Our goal is to help you maximize the value you get from RxWorks. This cannot be done without a combination of training and support – and effort from the client. As we regularly release new functionality, it is even more important for us to continue to provide support. To make support optional is in our view a recipe for mediocrity.
Our experience also showed us that practices place greater value on some of the functions in RxWorks than others.
RxWorks Pricing Structure
We have structured our offer into a base system (PIMS) and optional modules. You can enhance PIMS by adding the modules that you feel give you the greatest return on your investment.Should you consider that all the modules bring you value, we provide the Quality Care System (QCS). This includes PIMS along with the most popular modules
PIMS licenses are available for “bands” of maximum number of workstations. The bands are:- 1 workstation.
- 2- 4 workstations.
- 5 – 8 workstations.
- 9 – 12 workstations.
- 13 – 20 workstations.
- 21 – 35 workstations.
- 36 – 60 workstations.
- 61 – 100 workstations.
- 101 – 175 workstations.
- 176 – 300 workstations.
- 301 – 500 workstations.
- 501- 1,000 workstations
- Over 1,000 workstations.
There is a set annual fee based on the maximum number of workstations. As you move to the higher bands, the cost per PIMS license reduces.
License fees for modules are established using the same “band” structure as PIMS.
For PIMS, the total annual fee is dependent upon the number of modules installed and the maximum number of workstations you have
For QCS, the license fees are based on the total number of workstations and do not use the “band” structure.
