The Principles behind HealthCare Manager

  Client Communication

Clear, consistent and repetitive communication with the client is key to success.

  Improving Patient Quality of Life

Studies show that clients want to be kept up-to-date. Talk to clients about treatments,
screenings, etc. that improve the quality of life of their animals.

Compliance and the Value of Service

Studies also show that compliance is better when staff and veterinarians deliver the same
message explaining the value of the service.

  Boosting Client Bonding

Having all staff communicate with clients also helps improve the bond with a practice and its profitability.

In conjunction with the AAHA's landmark study on how veterinarians could maximize quality care, RxWorks produced a pdf outlining the AAHA's findings, and how our HealthCare Manager Module has been developed to assist them.

Features of HealthCare Manager

    • Standards of Care can be adapted for each practice and species using HealthCare Indicators.  They are nominated as Primary or Secondary, depending on the priority of the treatment.
    • HealthCare Indicators are linked to medication and treatment fees and set reminders when any of the items are sold.
    • Whenever a patient record is opened a notice displays the patient’s status for each Indicator.
    • Prompts are set to display alerts for overdue indicators at various stages in the work flow. They can display scripts to help staff explain a suggestion to the client.  Repetitive and consistent information is proven to increase compliance rates.
    • When a new Visit record is created for a patient with overdue Indicators, Healthcare Manager requires a response. This could be to invoice the overdue item, book an appointment, defer action or deactivate the Indicator. The response is added to the patient record along with a reason why, if deactivated.
    • Several reports on compliance rates and Indicator outcomes are available. A very useful report is the analysis of deactivated treatments and the reasons why.  This helps management decide on changes to make the recommendation more acceptable to clients – and improve compliance.
