Importing a Folder of Microsoft Word Documents
RxWorks allows users to choose a folder of documents to be imported into the program. This document will cover how to import those documents.
NAVIGATING TO THE 'IMPORT DOCUMENTS' FEATURE
1. Go to the RxWorks Task Panel.
2. Select 'Tools and Utilities' from the left hand side of the window.
3. Select 'Miscellaneous.'
4. Choose 'Import Documents.'
CHOOSE A FOLDER TO IMPORT FROM
This steps assumes you have created a folder on your network or local computer that contains the documents you wish to import into RxWorks. (See next section below)
1. Click on 'Import Documents' (as in Step 4 above under 'Navigate to').
2. In the window that opens, navigate to and select the folder you have your documents located in.
3. Click OK.
4. Use the drop-down list to choose the folder you want to save your documents to.
The folders in the list represent the folders listed in 'H: Document Setup and Editing.'
Once the document has been imported, you will then find it under the appropriate section
of 'H: Document Setup and Editing.'
CREATING A FOLDER TO IMPORT YOUR DOCUMENTS
When RxWorks imports your documents into the program, it will ask you where you would like to save them. All documents will be saved to this one location. The options available to you are the folders listed under 'H: Document Setup and Editing' and will be presented in the form of a drop-down list as described previously in this document.
If you only have one document to import, this is very straight forward. All you need to do is save that Word Document into a folder, and import it into RxWorks.
Importing from Several Folders
Here is what to do when you have several documents to save under separate folders from the 'H: Document Setup and Editing' list.
1. Create a base folder for all your Microsoft Word files.
2. Within that folder, create individual folders for each
folder you will need as listed under
the 'H: Document Setup and Editing'
list.
3. Place the appropriate Microsoft Word documents in the correct folders.
4. When importing the documents, select each of the sub folders one at a time.
5. And save them to the corresponding 'H: Document Setup and Editing' folder in RxWorks.
