The Patient Images Workflow - Images Sent By Email
RxWorks has been able to attach patient images to patient records for many years. The previous method of attaching images required some user input to ensure images imported correctly.
The Patient Image Workflow is designed to reduce the number of steps required to import patient images to your system. The Patient Image Workflow allows you to take a photo of a patient using a variety of web enabled ‘smart’ devices, and forward the image to your system via email. RxWorks can import the image directly to the patient record from your email account.
The Patient Images Workflow is designed for internal clinic use – it is not recommended that your clients email patient images to you. The email address used for the workflow should be different to the email address used for internal clinic communication.
RxWorks recommends that you create a dedicated email account for managing the Patient Image Workflow. A free account for this purpose can be set up in Gmail.
If you do not wish to use Gmail, you may use any mail service that supports the IMAP protocol (consult your hardware technician).
