Setting up Incoming Mail
To setup incoming mail in RxWorks you must enter the settings of your external email account into the Email Manager Work Area. This enables the program to synchronize with folders in your external mail account.
WHAT IS IMAP?
RxWorks integrates with mail clients that support the IMAP communication protocol. IMAP (Internet Message Application Protocol) is typically supported through mail services such as Gmail, but may also be supported through other mail servers. Check with your hardware technician to find out if your email provider supports IMAP.
IMAP works by ‘reading’ the folders and their contents of the email account, without actually downloading any information. This enables users to view information in specific folders and then download only relevant messages. The correct setup of your mail account folders is important as these are used to organize mail in communication workflows.
This article will cover all the settings required for RxWorks talk to your external email account.
Follow the article index at the top right of this page to get started.
All example settings outside of RxWorks will be shown in a Gmail account.
KEY POINTS
