Online Manual Getting Started Tracking Resources

You can make use of the Resources area on the front page of RxWorks to store and view pertinent documents.  This makes it much quicker and easier to get to important documents like manuals and spreadsheets directly from the RxWorks interface.

The view of the resources screen is a direct list of all the files in your RxWorks\Practice Information\Document Index folder on your server.

You may be able to view, print or edit some types of documents, or even e-mail documents, directly from this front screen.  However, this will not work for all file types and it may be easier to Open or Explore the folder directly as a default.

To get to the RxWorks\Practice Information\Document Index folder directly, select the Open or Explore icons from the Resources menu bar.

Doing this will open the RxWorks\Practice Information\Document Index folder in Windows Explorer.  Your view may be different, depending on which version of Windows you are running.  The example here is from Windows Vista.

As you can see, the directory listing shows all the files that appeared in the Resources section of the front page.  It also shows the folder “New Folder One.”

Returning to the Resources section on the front page, we can see that “New Folder One” exists as a tab, next to the original or “Start” folder.

Once in Windows Explorer, you can move, copy, delete, view and edit files and folders in the same way you would normally in Microsoft Windows.

Do not confuse the “Start” folder in RxWorks with the Start folder in Windows. They are two different folders on your system.

The Resources section is a gateway to the Document Index folder for RxWorks. For best results look at it as a Window to Windows from RxWorks… a little bit like “My Documents” on your computer at home.
